Illustrations and highlights 

HIGHLIGHTS

Highlights are used to create hierarchy in an otherwise flat hierarchical design.
Highlight are generally used in blue colour but can change to red in children and Christmas plays.

ILLUSTRATIONS

Illustrations are used to add small hints about the play. Handprinted text and small illustrations gives life to the printed matter and a feeling of temporality. Illustrations isn’t a substitute for portraits or object pictures. Use illustrations with care and don’t ‘over illustrate’. Keep the simple lign established in the highlights.

In children’s play illustrations can be places onto portraits to indicate personalities and give the poster life and fun.
